Atlanta, GA – Benefiting Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America.
Share Our Strength hosted their seventh annual Give Me Five dinner on Sunday, August 18th, 2013 at Cherokee Town & Country Club which welcomed Ruth Riley,WNBA player and No Kid Hungry advocate, and Jon West, Atlanta Community Food Bank, as the featured speakers. Five of Georgia’s most accomplished chefs prepared five delicious courses, which five of Georgia’s top sommeliers paired with the finest wines . Prior to dinner, guests enjoyed cocktails & hors d’oeuvres while perusing the silent auction with items varying from home and kitchen to luxurious exotic vacations. An envious live auction also took place during the event, where guests walked away with one of a kind experiences.
The group of chefs included: Chef Chair: Robert Fasce, Cherokee Town & Country Club , David Gross, Cook Hall, Whitney Otawka, Farm 255, Jason Shelley, Ocean Prime and Daniel Zeal, Georgian Room at Sea Island . The sommeliers involved were Sommelier Chair: Silvio Garcia, Cherokee Town & Country Club, Ramien Balouch, Bistro Niko, Andrew Carter, Livingston Restaurant + Bar, Andrés Loaiza, Aria and Stevenson Rosslow, Wrecking Bar Brewpub.
